Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad is a residential or housing society that is located in the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Manchester area of Pakistan. It is divided into 5 parts. First of all, this society was established in 1992 by the Pakistan Armed Forces Welfare Department for military staff. But now both civilian and military families are living there. DHA Islamabad along with Bahria Town also serves the citizens and foreigners, with the most luxurious life and abidance.
Defence Phase I
Defence Phase 1 is situated in Islamabad. It lies in the southeast of Morbagh and the Attock refinery, Rawalpindi. It covers an area of approximately 1100 Kanal. We can locate DHA Phase 1 in the most mesmerizing and picturesque loop of the SOAN RIVER, which is close to GT ROAD. The concept of Phase 1 came in May 1992 from DHA. It is known as the oldest phase of DHA. The community of DHA Phase 1 ensures an exceptional way of living and strives to fulfill the residents’ requirements. Residents are enjoying a quality life in a peaceful environment between mountains.
Defence Phase II
Defence Phase II is situated in Zone V of Islamabad. DHA Phase II covers an area of approximately 15,075 Kanal. Residents enjoy many facilities such as restaurants, banquet halls, hospitals, guest rooms, family clubs, petrol stations, underground electrification, mosques, parks and playing areas, peaceful views, jogging tracks, and pharmacies. Defence Phase III
DHA Phase III is top of the list in terms of residence. It is well known as a serene part of Islamabad city, spreading over 3,500 Kanals that have been well developed. Defence Phase IV

Established in March 2005, Phase VI covers an area of approximately 55,000 Kanals. This phase was designed by OJRM, an American design firm. DHA Valley
The Valley is located next to DHA Phase II Extension on the Islamabad Highway.
